Day 160-163 Salta to Cafayate
Saltaから南へ向かう。フィリップはなんと荷物が50kgぐらいあるらしい。いろいろ壊れたりして寝袋3つ、マットが2つ。自転車を入れると60kg以上。
Heading south from Salta. I can't believe Philip is carrying 50kg including 3 sleeping bags and 2 sleeping mattresses.
スーパーに寄ったりして結局12時ぐらいに出発。そこからひたすらRuta68を下る。途中何ヶ所か小さな村を通る。
After buying food at the supermarket, we ended up leaving at noon. All the way down Ruta 68. There were some cute little villages on the way.
それにしても暑い。天気が良すぎる。一ヶ月前までボリビアの砂漠で凍えていたのが信じられないぐらい。湿度もあるので日陰に入っても涼しくなくて日本の夏を思い出す暑さ。あまりの暑さに途中でアイスクリームを食べる。
How hot it is today! So much sun. I can't believe I was freezing in the desert if Bolivia less than a month ago. It's also humid and it reminds me of summer in Japan. We got an ice cream :)
5時過ぎぐらいからキャンプできそうなところを探し、ようやく見つけた林の中でキャンプ。野菜をクミンで炒め煮にして食べる。
We we're looking for a place to camp, and finally found a place in the bush. Veggies cooked with cumin seeds for dinner.
いつも真夏を避けて旅してきたのでこのはじめての熱帯夜。蚊にもやられ、さらには思いがけず夜中に土砂降りになり、慌てて荷物を取り入れるも、安物テントは雨に耐えきれず、水も滴るいいテントと化した。テントの中にプールができた。結局朝まで雨と格闘していたためにあまり眠れなかった。
I've always been avoiding summer, so it was the hottest night in my trip. Many mosquitos, and also unexpected rain in the midnight. I hurried to put all my stuff inside the tent, but my cheap new tent started to leak, and I got a swimming pool. I was struggling with the rain until morning.
朝には雨も止み、ごはんを食べて荷物を乾かしつつ、La Viñaという町へ。
The rain stopped in the morning, so we had breakfast and went to the town, La Viña.
天気はくもりだけど道中は豚がいたり、色とりどりの山や渓谷があったりととても美しかった。
It was cloudy, but there were some pigs, and beautiful scenery with colorful mountains and canyons.
SaltaからMendozaへと向かう道はRuta de vino と呼ばれるワイン街道。早速ぶどう畑が見られる。
The way from Salta to Mendoza is called Ruta de vino, wine route. There were some vineyards.
Cafayateまで行く予定だったが16時の時点で残り50kmだったので諦めてキャンプ地を探す。川のほとりにいいところを見つける。昨日の反省を活かし、今日は木の下にテントを張ってみた。雨に降られませぬように。。
We were planning to get to Cafayate, but decided to camp because it was already 5pm and 50km left. We found a nice place close to the river. I put my tent under the tree in case it might rain again.
翌朝はDevil's throatやCasa de los lotes と呼ばれる奇岩へ。
The next morning we went through beautiful rocks named Devil's throat and Casa de los lotes.
世界ふしぎ発見と思われる撮影をしていた。一緒に写真撮ってもらえばよかったかしら。
その後も次々現れる色とりどりの渓谷や奇岩に息を呑む。
So beautiful rocks and colorful scenerys on the way.
最後の15kmぐらいから何もないまっすぐな道になり、向かい風も相まってきつくなる。
Cafayateに着き、お昼ご飯を食べた。
ミートボールののったご飯とスープ、そしてデザート（オレンジ）で45ペソ（約300円）。がまんできずにコーラも飲んじゃった。
The wind started to blow, but we finally arrived in Cafayate and had lunch. Meatballs on rice and soup.
キャンプ場に着き、久しぶりのシャワーと洗濯。
翌日はゆっくり料理したり、スプーンを作ったり、ワイナリーやチーズを作っている牧場に行ったりしてのんびり過ごした。
We had a relaxing time going to the winery and the cheese factory, cooking and so on.
明日はアルゼンチンの先住民の村に向かう予定。
I'm heading to a village where the aboriginal people live.
