Day 68-69 Marin to Pacifica

1ヶ月滞在したAreton家をついに発つ日が来た。
名残惜しい、、名残り惜しすぎて結局出発がお昼になってしまった。
Time to leave. I feel sad...

途中SausalitoでLaperd’s Ice Creamへ。ちなみにこの店を開いたMr. Laperdは定年後あまりにひまでおくさんに言われるがままアイスクリーム屋を開いたのが思いの外大ヒットし、今ではハワイ含め何店舗もひらくほど大人気のお店になっているのだと、トムが教えてくれた。
On my way, I stopped at Laperd's Ice cream. Tom told me that Mr. Laperd was so bored after he retired, so he opened this ice cream shop as his wife told him to, and happened to be so popular now.
Golden Gate Bridgeを越えてサンフランシスコに入ると一気に霧。
さすがは"天然のエアコン"と呼ばれるだけのことはある。
It became foggy after Golden Gate Bridge.
No wonder it is the "natural air conditioner".
海岸に出てからDaly Cityまではキツイのぼりが続く。
同じ形のカラフルな家が並んでいてかわいらしい。

そしてPacificaへ。
幼稚園の時からの友人、Tanishaとその家族が迎えてくれた。
子供たちがめちゃくちゃかわいい。
彼女はすでに3児の母。子供のことも、自分の将来のこともちゃんと考えている。
すごいなあ。わたしなんて自分のことだけでもいっぱいいっぱいなのに。
I arrived in Pacifica around 6PM.
My friend from kindergarten, Tanisha and her family welcomed me.
Her kids are soooo cute.
She is already a mom of three kids.
I really respect her that she is thinking both about her kids, and her life.
I'm not even sure about my own life.
夕食後はHot tubへ。
久しぶりにお風呂に入れてうれしい。
We went into the hot tub after dinner.
I'm happy to have a bath after a long time.
7/25 Mon
せっかくなのでTanishaの家族と1日過ごすことにした。
子供たちとレゴや折り紙をした。
I decided to stay one more day with Tanisha.
I enjoyed playing Lego and origami with the kids.
午後はみんなで近くの海にお散歩に行き、クジラを見て大興奮。
In the afternoon, we walked at the beach and excited to see the whales.
夕食の買い出しをし、リクエストの親子丼を作った。
We went shopping and I made Oyakodon for a request.
子供の頃の友達と20年ぶりに再会するなんて、とても不思議な体験だ。
きっかけを与えてくれたFacebookに感謝。
It was such a great experience to meet my childhood friend for the first time in 20 years.
I really thank Facebook for giving us the chance to reconnect our friendship.
